Over the years video encoding has gotten better in terms of both quality and compression all of our videos will play on Windows or Mac
We are currently using Divx compressed .AVI files, the quality is as good as DVD or better many of our newer shoots are available in HiDef as well.
Additionally many DVD players today will play Divx, so if you own one that is divx certified you can burn the video and play it on your TV as well.
If you need the codec it is FREE at www.divx.com simply download the free version and install it. You can use the included player or you can use your favorite player once the codec is installed.
All Old videos are being remastered to the Divx format
This is the breakdown
Streaming - We are now offering streaming formats, the player will automagically detect your connection speed and stream the highest quality video that your connection supports up to full Hi Def.
.MPG These are older mpeg1 files, they are being replaced they play in any player
.avi these are DIVX files requiring the divx codec, they can be standard def or hidef
.wmv these are windows media player files in both HD and SD
.mp4 These are AVCHD (H.264) files, they are HD and are of the highest quality they play on your PS3 or XBox360 they also play on your PC if you have the H.264 codec. They may play poorly, if so you would need a video card with hardware H.264 decoding built into it. If you cant play these you can always play the SD version that is divx encoded.
